Journey Through the Jacaranda Trees

I love traveling on the back roads of Northern California.

On this particular journey, the road carried me through a section of Jacaranda trees in full bloom. There were so many blooms that it made the entire tree solid purple. The late afternoon sun washed the landscape in beautiful, golden light and the clouds caught the light and glowed yellow.

The entire scene felt so magical and mystical!  I pulled over to snap a shot and as soon as I got to my studio, I started painting - my tribute to this majestic scene.
