Twilight on Golden Hills

I painted this scene to capture the essence of California’s golden hills during twilight. This transition from daylight to twilight felt magical and mystical. The rolling forms, which I brushed in layers of ochre and amber, reflect the rugged beauty of the land amid the shifting light.

More than just a landscape, for me this painting is a meditation on place and belonging. I wanted to distill the feeling of standing before those hills—the hush of wide open space and the way light transforms everything it touches. It’s both a personal reflection and an invitation.
