Afternoon Shadows at Ed Levin Park

On a warm summer day, I was visiting a local park.  On top of a hill was a line of trees next to a long fence.  This backlit line of trees intrigued me. The trees were showing their finest bright green as the sun lite the tops. I loved the way the afternoon sun shown on the trees, casting elongated shadows down the hill. In those shadows, I could see a multitude of colors...deep red and soft purple and dark blue. 

These shadows spoke to me. It brought me joy to think that the beauty of these colors cast upon the sloping golden hill could be reflections of the souls held within all trees.
